Larkspur

The larkspur seeds I threw out in the Rose Bed actually sprouted and are now blooming.  Yay for new flowers!

Such beauties. You will have them for years to come.

I have a few of these coming up in my beds this year. Seems even when I seed the beds, they still come up in the paths. Larkspur have a mind of their own.

That's a beautiful color of larkspur, Katina - wouldn't want to have a garden without some!
In Illinois the advice used to be to sprinkle the seeds on top of a late snowfall so the melt would settle them in place. But here in Austin? I agree with Ally- they have their own ideas about where to grow.

Love me some larkspur! This variety is especially lovely. And your chancing by my artichoke & garden while riding by made me laugh. I was out of town, but it would have been great to hear your shout out. Feel free to stop by if you ever turn down the wrong street again.
